Westboro is another favourite of young families. The beautiful, well-maintained neighbourhood is close to downtown, and is home to a number of boutique shops and nearby amenities. Neighbourhoods are known to be quiet and safe, with numerous schools, and plenty of greenery and mature trees. Property values are high in this area, and are steadily increasing. With recent repairs and repaving on the main road, it has never been easier to commute downtown, and for those who opt not to drive to work, the excellent public transit in the area has made getting downtown that much easier. Drawbacks of Westboro Living

While Westboro has numerous advantages, it is not without its drawbacks. The high volume of older houses adds character to each neighbourhood, but old houses require more maintenance. Mold and wet basements may become a problem for those with smaller renovation budgets, and the area falls victim to downtown smog in the summer months. While real estate is expensive and the area boasts safe and quiet neighbourhoods, it borders Mechanicsville, which is an area known to have minor crime problems.
